MTS and NCTD riders can now use the new regional fare system, PRONTO. Transit passes are available using PRONTO. Together, MTS and NCTD carry more than 100 million passengers annually. The San Diego region is served by two major transit agencies, the Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) and the North County Transit District (NCTD). Learn more about the bike parking amenities available at each station.

Taking public transportation can get you out of traffic, save you money on gas, help the environment, and ease the stress of your daily commute – all while reducing congestion on our roadways. All new stations will include bike parking, with electronic lockers at most of the stations, and secure group bike parking at Nobel Drive Station and the UTC Transit Center. The 11-mile expansion opens 9 new transit stations that allows riders to take a trolley ride from San Ysidro to UTC in La Jolla, no transfer necessary. Try transit! We're thrilled to announce that the Mid-Coast Trolley Extension of the UC San Diego Blue Line is now open for service.
